Here’s a script coverage report for today’s Radio 4 afternoon play The End of the World, by Danny Broklehurst. Why did I tweet I’d do this today? Bloody spontaneity.
I might have thunk myself into a corner on this, but the story does some interesting things – the average length of a scene is 30 seconds, it does a good sleight of hand in delivering a workable ending for a character who wants unilateral nuclear disarmament, and there’s a good joke about book burning. I think it’s that first, incredible, scene that’s making me want to put together an ‘alt’ version though. I’ll post a one page outline tomorrow.
